Well, thought I'd post something, but I really don't have a whole lot that is anything to talk about. My kids are all running fevers and I get to work 5 days this week. I have laundry out the nose and my house that i just cleaned is a disaster again. Oh well, such is life.
*To avoid laundry, run around naked*
(this is the saying that is going on my laundry room wall)
Had fun watching the super bowl on our movie screen, and all those of you who were invited and didn't come... You missed out, not just because of the movie screen, but Jim makes some great food. Those of you who didn't think you were invited... I've already put out our open invitation. We are not the type of people who get offended if you invite yourselves. :-) (just give us a bit of warning, because I'm all about trying to "avoid laundry." J/K )
Nothing else exciting going on. I'd better get to bed.

My mom and dad have some of the greatest missionaries in the whole world. They really are like family. My dad and mom loved their missionaries deeply and those missionaries know it. Every month on the 14th of the month, my mom's eyes water as she receives a box of red roses from those missionaries remembering hers and their loss. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful things they did and are still doing for my parents. Now there is a memorial/reunion in the works for April. Thank you.

I thought a lot last night as I was trying to sleep about my political voice. I have stressed over not having one, not doing my part and even knowing what that part is. We have a president who needs our support, even if he isn't who you voted for. I have wondered if my "voice" even matters and you know what I realized... it does matter. It matters to my Heavenly Father and if He is the only one who hears it, then that's all that matters. Not everyone is meant to play a big roll in polotics, but if we are unified in prayer, our voices will be heard. That actually gave me a lot of peace and regardless of that damage that is done or the damage that has been done, let us keep our Nation and it's leaders in our prayers. The Lord will hear us and there is a GREAT power in prayer. Especially when it is unified.

Well, hello there. To all who read this post I hope you are having a great day!! What a great day it is. I am FINALLY going to finish taking down the rest of my Christmas decorations and put them away. (I know... it's about tme) Then, I'm going grocery shopping. We have NO food. Then I'm going to rearange my kids bedrooms. Britney is going to move into Kailyn's room and I am going to take over Britney's room as my scrapbook room. I need a room with a LOCK. Then the area where I had all my stuff can now become a great big play room. They will love it. Other than that, I don't know. We'll play is by ear and enjoy this great Saturday. Then I'll head to work. Have a good one!!

I guess it's time to come back to life. Sorry, I've been gone for so long. It has been a very dark couple of months, but getting better. There isn't really anything interesting to catch up on. I'm glad that December is over and I can put last year behind me. We are focusing on moving forward, counting each of our blessings and praying for a better year in 2009. We truely have so much to be grateful for. We are healthy, happy and overwhelmed with the knowledge that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us.
So all that being said... We're moving forward.
Things that are somewhat notewothy:
*I am hopelessly addicted to Twilight.
*Jim is now employed full time at Kohl's as an area supervisor for the Idaho Falls location.
*Our theatre room is fully equipped and usable. There are still some finished touches, but it has been fun to watch movies in our own theatre. Okay... some football has been on there as well. We love having company watch with us, but you'll have to probably invite yourselves, cuz it's too hard to try and invite everyone. Consider this an open invitation!
I can't think of anything else. So... The End.

I had an interesting phone call this morning. Around 10 am my cell phone rang... I looked at the caller I.D. and it said that "dad's cell" was calling. I had been under the impression that my mom had kept my dad cell phone and number. I was ready to be very upset for calling me from that number cuz my heart sunk when I saw who was (or who I wish) was calling. When I picked up the phone, I said hello and it wasn't a very nice hello either.
A man on the other end of the phone said... hi, someone keeps trying to get ahold of someone at this number and it's not me. I wondered if you would know why.
The guy was thoughtful when I told him that my dad had passed away this last April and it was probably a buisiness contact who hadn't heard that he had passed. He was so kind and said that he was sorry and I could call my dad's cell phone anytime I wanted and he would make something up.

First things first... My many thanks to my friend J.T. for fixing my computer problems. He was able to help get me up and running again. It required stealing my kids computer and downloading all my stuff over, but he did it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
On Friday my computer decided it had had enough of trying to fight off the virus I somehow received a while back and didn't know about.
Now to get back up to date. I' am so far behind. Now that I have come back from my Twilight reality, I am itching to get back into it. It is all I can do to now pick up the first book again. Yes... I am obsessed. I even got Jim to go to the movie and he liked it.
We had a great thanksgiving. We were able to go and spend time with my dad's side of the family in Brigham city and then headed up to the cemetary to visit his headstone that was recently put up. It turned out really nice. Then we went and visited with my mom's mom and family. That was nice too. I needed these visits. I'm so greatful for family. I am so blessed to have been put with this family.
I will find and update pictures soon. I HAVE to catch up on laundry and dishes first.

Appologies
Okay, Okay. This is an appology to all those of you whom I mocked and teased for becoming so involved and obsessed with Twilight. I just spent the last six days reading the four book seious and can finally see what all the hype is about. I do not like reading, but I became so overwhelmingly involved in this story that I am now an emotional wreck trying to find a way back into reality. PATHETIC!!
So, again. Sorry!
So, again. Sorry!

Happy Birthday Danaca!!!

I'm a little behind of this one. I don't have a lot of time lately to just sit at my computer. Danaca's birthday was on the 12th. She turned 10. She is an amazing girl who lights up peoples lives. She loves school, reads for hours on end and will make (has already made) an amazing babysitter. We love you Danaca and hope you had a great B-day amid the chaos in our lives right now.
Sorry... most of her pictures are in a scrapbook and will take some time to get to.

NERVOUS ABOUT WINTER
I would love to just sit here and write about how bad life sucks sometimes, but that wouldn't do me any good. All I would be telling the Lord is that I am incredibly ungrateful for all of the wonderful blessings in my life. I am desperately trying to count them all right now to keep me from becoming anymore bitter and angry than I already am.
So far... every season of this year has brought about something tragic for my little family. Spring was when my dad died, and then summer, my grandpa. Now for fall, Jim has lossed his job. I would love to go into details, but it will only send me into a more angry state of mind... counting my blessings, counting my blessings, counting... counting.... Suffice it to say that after 8 years of hard work and dedication with the Olive Garden, all it took was a brand new director who came here from somewhere in the midwest and brought over several of his old employees, one of which was a manager who he put in Jim's resturaunt and was only concerened with becoming the new G.M. This manager saw an opportunity to get Jim in trouble with something he didn't even know he was doing wrong and that "was all she wrote." The funny part is that Jim has hated working there for several years and asked the Lord on several occasions to help him find a way out.... I guess his prayer was answered. Does anyone else find that as comical as I do? Jim is very much at peace and comforting me in all of this. That's so sad!!!
So.. about those blessings. How grateful I am for the Gospel. To have a testimony and know that Jesus Christ lives, he is mindful of my needs and we are somehow suppose to learn something from all of this. I have a wonderful husband who is willing to work hard and honors his priesthood. Our kids are such amazing spirits and bring great joy into our home. We are blessed to be part of a great ward and have made many friends.
I went to the temple today hoping for some kind of clarity, and you know what I came away with...? The only thing that was made clear to me was that I need to go to the temple more often. I laughed a bit about that.
So, you can see why I would be a bit nervous about what winter is going to bring our way.
